United Airlines Flight Training Center - Oct 2025
Member David Senn organized a series of tours in October for Chapter 301 members to the United Airlines Training Center here in Denver.
I personally jumped at this incredible opportunity which included a personal tour of on of United's Level D full motion simulators. The training campus has a total of 59 motion simulators and a sim for each of the aircraft in the United fleet in one form or another. Our group of 3 were given an instructor-guided flight of the 787 Dreamliner sim. which included about 30mins each in the left seat and on the controls. It wasn't all smooth sailing, we had some challenges thrown at us including moderate turbulence, an engine fire, and taxiing our 500,000+ lb behemoth all the way to the gate using the "tiller" wheel to steer.
